Let's Rock the School!

The Beer & Band night held on 19th May 2012 was a huge success with over 90 parents attending.   The football was shown in the reception classroom which made many of the Dads happy (and some of the Mums).

A very good time was had by all with a superb hog roast, a delicious array of salads and sides prepared by parents and music to get everyone dancing.

A big thanks to all the parents who helped organise the event, decorate the hall, provided salads or side dishes, bought wine, served at the bar, sourced raffle prizes, etc.   An even bigger thanks to those who helped clear up - a big job!

The cost of the evening was just £15 per head which included food, music and a welcome drink - excellent value.   We are counting the money and will announce asap how much was raised.

The companies used by the PTA for this event were as follows:

• Abakus Band - thank you to all of you who got us up dancing and kept us there until late .....
• Truly Scrumptious catering - halloumi kebabs and other delicious bits - yum yum!
• Seventh Heaven - Natalie Thorpe who was responsible for transforming the school hall into a fantastic dance hall
• Jamie who roasted the hog to perfection and had many of us standing there unashamedly picking off the crackling and eating it with gusto

Watch out for the next event - the Summer Fete to be held on 7th July, themed around the Olympics (of course!).
