The PTA generally raise around £10,000 pa which enables the school to buy various bits of equipment or give the children opportunities that they might otherwise not enjoy. This is where some of the monies were spent during 2012/2013 school year
£4000 £500 to each class to go towards school trips
£2600 New staging for Nativity and KS2 productions
Wye Valley Sports Partnership (tag rugby, tennis, etc)
The School Governors are responsible for the maintenance and development of the buildings and structure and so items such as these are managed by the Governors, not the PTA.
For 2012/13 it is planned that the PTA will raise approximately £15,000 to help fund new playground equipment for the school and nursery. This will involve some extra fundraising activities - keep an eye out for news of things you can help with.
